Today is Halloween 2012.
Where did the year go?
Though, in retrospect, this year has seemed long already. (Still 61 days to go!)
I mean, there was Jacob's moving to Denver, the last 8 months of living apart from him, raising Bailey thus far, finishing the semester, graduating college, looking for work, finding work, helping my parents float along, quitting work, applying for new work, getting hired, finding out all kinds of news about people I'm close to (I'm talking about you, preggers!), the handi-capable improvements made to the house for dad's ease of use and quality of life, AND there is still Thanksgiving coming, and Christmas prep!
Plus, I start my new job tomorrow! =)
I'll be a cashier at Target this holiday season.
(I know: What was I thinking: retail during the fourth quarter?)
...I was thinking about a paycheck. And that I miss cashiering. (Just that this time, no supervisory responsibilities!) Plus people. I miss people.
I am still holding out for other jobs, though.
I took a test for the City of Greeley yesterday. It was the easiest test ever.
And the two criminal justice jobs I've been crossing my fingers for just stopped taking applications over the weekend.
So, hopefully, I'll be getting a phone call for one of those soon!
Wouldn't it be great to be in the position of having to choose which employer to work for?
(I'm hoping to be in that position, but it's probably just a pipe dream.)
If either of the other places offers me a job, I'll be putting Target on notice that I'll be available only part time from that point on. =)
I hate that my blog has turned into a bunch of random posts.
And that I just seem to jump around in most of my posts.
Goal for 2013: get better at blogging.
That's not my only goal for next year. There are already several others on my list.
Over the weekend, I found a harness that belonged to my parents' dog, and he's not wearing it anymore (for some reason), so I put it on Bailey. It fit wonderfully after a small adjustment, and she is doing great with it. She didn't even fight me when I put it on her.
She has really made me fall in love with Bernese Mountain Dogs. I can see so much of her mother's breed in her. I hope one day to be able to own a big ole BMD.
I am going to craft some cards today, or papergoods of some kind.
I mean, Christmas is coming after all!
(And if I go now, I'll have the crafting house all to myself for a few hours, which means my chances of actually getting something done will increase exponentially!)
I leave you with a video that will make your day better.
