Randoms

Back when I had a MySpace, I would frequently blog lists of random facts about me.

I guess I'm feeling a bit nostalgic, because that is exactly what I feel like doing right now.

  • One of my favorite things about Christmas is wrapping the gifts. Making crisp edges when folding; picking out perfect, contrasting or complementary ribbon & accessories; figuring out how to wrap those impossibly-shaped gifts... I can't explain it, but I love all things wrapping. My mom does, too, so maybe that's where I get it from. (I even have an entire pinboard on Pinterest dedicated to wrapping / packaging!)
  • I love entertaining and having people over. Whilst living together, Jacob and I did that a few times. We even hosted Christmas dinner for my family and a family friend.
  • My intuition doesn't get enough credit. I am able to see multiple points of view in an argument / situation, even if it competes with my own. I am also able to understand situations that I have never been in. And, for some reason, I have weird abilities of foresight. These abilities are not always present, especially the latter one, but when they are, they are scary accurate.
  • Every time I visit a website with a continuous scroll function, or a page that keeps adding on to the bottom when you reach a certain point, I am constantly looking for a "Scroll to Top" function, like Pinterest has.
  • I have celebrity crushes on Alexander Skarsgaard, Garrett Hedlund, James McAvoy, Gerard Butler, Eric Christian Olsen, Cam Gigandet, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jake Gyllenhaal, Jesse Spencer, Chris Hemsworth, and Leonardo DiCaprio.
  • Bailey would make a wonderful police dog, in my opinion. They wouldn't take her because of her hips, obviously, and because her training should have started a long time ago, but she's smart and observant enough to be a police dog.
  • I love having my footprints be the first set in the snow, but I always feel bad for defacing the landscape.
  • I cannot fall asleep in a completely dark room alone.
  • ...and should I wake up in a completely dark room alone, I judge whether or not to turn on a light by what time it is.
  • Buy me Girl Scout Thin Mints and I will love you forever.
  • I love at-home paraffin wax hand and foot treatments.

Expectations

What is it with expectations in this society? As a student of anthropology, I am convinced it's a part of our culture. That being s...
