Let's see:
Grandma was taken to ER because she was having trouble breathing. They determined she had an infection and bronchitis, so she was sent home with antibiotics and an inhaler.
The following week, she went to her doctor's appointment --a follow-up from the ER visit-- and the doctor had her admitted to the hospital as her Pulse-Ox (that little thing that goes on your finger and measures the percent of oxygen in your blood and also measures your pulse) was around 70.
They did a few tests while she was in the hospital, and determined that all three valves in her heart are leaking. She's 81 and doesn't want surgery. I don't blame her. They gave her medicine that she HAS to take every day. We all feel better knowing that we finally know why she is anemic, but then again, we don't. (They say she's leaking about 90% of the blood that goes into her heart.)
A friend I've known for 20 years gave birth to her first child yesterday, in the middle of a huge snowstorm. (Thankfully, she made it to the hospital first and safely!) I am so excited to meet her son, Colby.
I am not a fan of the 9" of snow we got between Saturday night and most of yesterday, but I know that it is necessary. I just wish it would have been spread out more over the winter, like 9 different storms dropping 1" each. We're also expecting more snow tomorrow -- supposedly just an inch or so here -- but we'll see!
The interview I had on Valentine's Day was strange in that I was not on top of my game. I was honest, but I answered questions awkwardly.
I was contacted today by a member of the PD who will be doing my background investigation. He needs a variety of documents from me before it can continue, and we also need to set up some times to interview and review my social media presence. Now where --seriously-- did I leave my college degree?
Oh and Valentine's Day happened.
My honey came to see me -- he was actually here to house sit for his parents and watch their dogs for them, but we'll pretend for the sake of this blog that he was here to see me -- and he even bought me flowers! Three red roses. Aww. <3 We went to dinner at TGI Friday's (cuz I wanted steak) and then we came back to my house and watched Ted. It was nice to be with him that day. (He was here for three nights & four days. I wish he were here permanently.)

We have a hot water heater now! Taking a shower without having to pack a bag and leave your house is an amazing feeling. Just saying.
My first turn of doing the dishes since its installment is tomorrow before I go to work for eight hours. I'm probably more excited to wash them than I should be.

My uncle with cancer has started chemotherapy. I don't know when (or if) I'll know that there are signs of remission, but I'm sure there will be updates from me about that along the way, should I be included in that knowledge.
It's been a year since my honey has lived in Denver. A few days over, actually. Things have not gone according to plan.
...but I am, in all honesty, slowly learning to let go of what I have planned and just go with what opportunities I see and am presented with.

I mean, what good has wanting to be married with 2 children by the age of 30 really gotten me? Nowhere close to that goal! (And I have 2 years, 3 months, and 10 days before I'm 30. Not that I'm counting.) So I'm taking it easy.
Well, fingers crossed for the remainder of the month! Three days! Let's do this!
