Stuff & Things

Blogging at the moment to update on randomness in my life as well as to get my mind off Bailey's impending therapy evaluation appointment. In other words: please bear with me. I don't know where this is going to go, but I bet it's all over the map.

My cousin has thankfully left the carnival life and has settled back in here, for now. She and her boyfriend, Jon, are staying at my grandma's. It's good for gran to have company. The craziest thing, though? My cousin is pregnant again. She has had two daughters already, one turned four last month and the other is going to be three in less than a week. I'm hoping she has a boy this time. (And, since she's due around my birthday, chances are the baby will be an appointment and I can share my birthday with the little one!)

...that makes five people in my circle that I know whom are pregnant. (And my circle isn't very big!)

It was great seeing my love last week. =) He was so patient with me as I wondered around and purchased a few small things. (It's great knowing I can walk away from a day of shopping and only spend $60!) We went to a baby store (cuz, y'know, I know so many darn preggers!) and bought some ah-dorable baby clothes. We also went to IKEA and I fell in love. (To be fair, I was in love with IKEA before walking around the store: their catalogs are great previews!) I was able to acquire items for baby showers, some stocking stuffers for Christmas, a hook for Bailey's leash, and a birthday present for mom.

Next week, I'm going to Denver again. Jake and I will celebrate our sixth year of dating on Thursday the 11th. Our plan is to tour the Pompeii exhibit at the natural history museum and go out for dinner. Also on the schedule for that day is a test drive of a Fiat (his aunt and I are both in love with those cars!) and another trip to the baby store.
There may be another trip to Denver also coming up the week after next, as the Botanic Gardens are hosting their haunted tours again. It was something we were supposed to do last year but didn't get to; we went to an awesome performance of Poe's works instead.

Work is work. I guess. Ten hour days get LONG. I love having three days in a row off, though!
I don't know if I'm cut out for call center work, though, to be honest. I'm in the process of finding a more office-oriented job.

My vision & dental insurance kicked in on the first! Gonna have to schedule appointments accordingly. I haven't had my eyes checked in over two years and I know my prescrip has changed.

Well, it's time I get things rounded up to go.

I am more worried than I should be that the vet is going to tell me that there's nothing they can do for her. </3

Expectations

What is it with expectations in this society? As a student of anthropology, I am convinced it's a part of our culture. That being s...
